Link your Lichess account once. Seek a game, accept a challenge or start one against a friend, then play on the board: your moves go out, the opponent's moves light up or are announced. Takebacks, draw offers, chat and resigning work from the app.
The Lichess link is in beta and uses the official Lichess Board API.
Engines
Sparring partners at every level.
Stockfish runs on your phone for the strongest opposition. For practice that feels like a person, play Maia: nine levels from 1100 to 1900, trained on human games, with six personalities to choose from.
On Android you can add your own UCI engines and use them for games and analysis.
Local play
One board, two phones. Or none.
Local play connects two phones over Bluetooth so both players share one board for a Lichess game. The recorder writes down every move of an over-the-board game so nothing is lost. Hot-seat games work on the phone itself.
Clock and voice
A clock and a voice.
WhitePawn doubles as a standalone chess clock. Move announcements speak every move in six languages with six voices, so your eyes can stay on the board.
DGT clocks connected to a DGT board show the opponent's move and both times, and the lever can confirm your move.
